Access Control Solutions for Deakin University

Recently, Australian Bollards has had the pleasure of installing our AB-DBA-900 access control solutions, allowing one-way access to student accommodation. This one-way entrance will help to prevent any incidents from occurring.

Specifically, the access control solution is an automobile management system, used to achieve safety in vehicle parking management. The parking solution provides complete access control, acting as a safety enhancement system. This security system is essential in keeping students and their possessions safe, while preventing unauthorised access from people who are not located within the student accommodation area.

The access control system installed at Deakin University features a magnetic lock, relay, diode and 12V power supply.

Also known as the AB-MGL Magnetic Lock and Post, this highly practical solution works to secure the access control system into the stand, protecting the arm against any strong force.

Australian Bollards also offers a blue strobe light, which can be installed with the AB-MGL and are available for people who are interested to use. This solution acts as extra protection, altering those in the surrounding area that the access control solution is being accessed; illuminating any guests on the premises. Once the system is secured in the magnetic stand, the alarm will cease.

Australian Bollards parking solutions are ideal for entrance and exit of car parks and secure areas. They can be used with other roadside contraptions including security camera bollards, intercom systems and card readers to create an outstanding parking solution. Customers can choose whether they want a right-handed, left-handed or an articulate access control solution.

Australian Bollards also had the pleasure of installing our AB-TP2 at the university, which will become an integrated all access control system at the university, allowing students who live inside Deakin’s accommodation to use a key pass card to easily gain authorised access through the system. The AB-TP2 features locking fixtures that are certified into concrete post tension slabs.
